(My) First Poem on Earth

The sun shines down on me
Warming my skin
Glistening in your eyes
Absorbing and radiating endlessly

The breeze embraces us
Stoking the fire
Moving the manes
Passing on its way elsewhere

The water provides for us
Cooling our tongues
Cleansing our bodies
Saturating our village

The sun, the breeze, and the water
Breathing into us
Sustaining life
Connecting us all as one

This is me, I am enough

My thoughts belong in this world

Wherever a Rose blooms, I shall be.

My Permission Slip

I grant myself permission to release my past
I grant myself permission to release my future
Like shackles on my heart and mind, no more
May you vanish, disintegrate, and be gone

So that I may arrive and thrive
Arrive and stay, here in this present moment
Arrive and stay, enjoy the hearth and the inner workings of my heart

Come down, look around, clear away the dust and debris
Process the pain and reawaken to my time
My heart, patchwork and bleeding, cleansed and refreshed

So I can let the future arrive at my doorstep
With open arms and clear vision
No more hurt, no more pain
Simply acceptance with everything to gain

Positive abundance is my destiny
Thriving joy is my core state
I deserve to feel good and let go and flow

The beating of my heart keeps my time
The wind at my feet guides my direction
The universe nourishes my being unconditionally
Now it is time for me to do the same

Into the light
Into this moment
This breath sustains me
My fears released
